On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, DEA President Michael J. Palladino visited with retired Transit Det. Nicholas Calabrese in the Bronx and presented him with a plaque. The former second grade Transit Detective is the oldest living DEA member at 101 years of age. The meeting was covered by Linda Schmidt of Fox Five News, was picked up by the Associated Press, and others.
