Actives, Retirees, and Dependents Covered for Free Flu Vaccine

October 16, 2015

Once again, flu season is returning for thousands of New Yorkers and flu vaccinations are the best means of prevention.

The City of New York has launched its Flu Vaccination Campaign.

All municipal employees covered by New York City health benefits, pre-Medicare retirees, and dependents are covered to receive a free annual flu vaccine.

The Flu Vaccination Clinic is available to travel to any meeting or forum where 50 or more vaccinations can be administered. If you would like to invite a City clinic to any NYPD fraternal event, contact Sakara Bey, Culture of Health Program Manager at sbey@olr.nyc.gov or at (212) 306-7289.

There are also several additional ways for City employees and their dependents to obtain a free flu vaccination, including:

At an in-network physician’s office;

At a participating pharmacy;

At an Advantage Care Physician facility by calling for an appointment at (646) 680-3000;

Or online at www.acpny.com/nycflu

At participating worksites (employees only) by registering at www.apschedule.com/nycflu
