New York Blood Center Blood Drive in Staten Island
On Sunday, August 12, 2018, the family of retired Member of the Service Anthony Sclafani will be hosting a blood drive in his honor. Anthony “The Bear” Sclafani also served in both the United States Air Force and Army. He’s a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus. Anthony had a severe GI bleed that required over 40 units of blood in a 72 hour period to keep him alive. Anthony has spent three months in the hospital recovering.
His family would like to encourage all to come out and donate blood as a thank you. They want to ensure there is blood on the shelves for the next patient in need. Donating blood takes only an hour of your time, but gives a tremendous reward of life.
To schedule an appointment call the New York Blood Center at 800-933-2566.
The Blood Drive will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Manresa, 185 Cedar Grove Ave, Staten Island, NY 10306 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
