Red Apple Group Needs Shuttle Bus Driver

Red Apple Group has immediate job opportunities for Shuttle Bus Drivers in Coney Island, Brooklyn.


The starting rate is $27 per hour. There are full-time and part-time positions available.


Candidates must have a CDL class B with a passenger endorsement and must be a retired LEO.


Responsibilities include the following: transport tenants to and from the train station; assist in securing the facility as required by the site, which may include access control, patrols and other assigned duties; must be able work a flexible schedule, including the day shift (from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and second shift (from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.).


The Shuttle Bus Driver must be a lively, highly organized person to ensure the safe transport of passengers. The Shuttle Bus Driver will be required to determine the collection and drop-off points for each trip, and adhere to the vehicle’s passenger limit. He or she should also keep a log of absent passengers.


To be successful as a Shuttle Bus Driver, the applicant should demonstrate strict adherence to schedules and transport-related legislation. Ultimately, an extraordinary Shuttle Bus Driver will be able to diagnose and remedy basic mechanical issues that may arise.


Shuttle Bus Driver Responsibilities include the following: collating and editing transport schedules based on passengers’ needs; arriving at collection points prior to departure times; ensuring adherence to passenger limits, both seated and standing; avoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible; separating any physical fights and calming the verbal altercations which may arise; recording and reporting all major accidents and incidents to the supervisor; checking to ensure that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner; ensuring that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times; and observing all relevant traffic and safety laws.


Shuttle Bus Driver Requirements include the following: must be certified to transport individuals via shuttle bus; CDL license needed; previous experience driving groups of people; outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes; first aid training is preferred; excellent route planning abilities needed; great improvisational skills are a plus, as is an amicable and optimistic disposition; working knowledge of pertinent car maintenance and restoration technique is needed; and must possess an ability to work flexible hours.
