ACS Needs Investigative Consultants

December 9, 2017

The New York City Administration for Children’s Services is hiring Investigative Consultants throughout New York City. The Investigative Consultants assist the Child Protection Specialists with their investigations. Much of the job consists of computer based searches pertaining to criminal background checks and domestic violence history of subjects and resources. Aside from computer searches, the consultant is expected to make field responses, assist with interviews, locate missing children and families and occasionally conduct training for ACS staff. There are immediate openings in Manhattan for the 1500 x 2400 and 2300 x 0800 tours. Limited spots for day tours are also available throughout the city. The applicant must be retired from the NYPD for at least one year and should be a retired detective or police officer with experience in child abuse, domestic violence, missing persons, warrants or other similar investigative assignments. For more details or to apply go to the NYC ACS website and search for the “Protection Agent” title.
