NEGOTIATIONS ON FLSA

On January 28, the DEA was notified that the City will no longer negotiate regarding the FLSA.  DEA President Michael Palladino directed the union attorneys to explore litigation on behalf of those members who have 480 hours or more in their FLSA bank.

The DEA has a grievance pending for those active members who have 480 hours or more in their FLSA bank.  The point of the grievance is to compel the Department to comply with the law and their own operations order re: the 480 hour cap.
